I don’t know the last time I wrote a review, but I came to do it for this team. When our pediatrician at Bethany Children’s recommended NYETS after some pretty unsettling care we’d received elsewhere, I’ll be honest, I rolled my eyes and didn’t plan on looking into it. She promised she’d seen them in person with some of her patients, but they didn’t have exactly what we needed listed on the website, so I called them out of desperation to ask if they could refer me to anywhere else that could accommodate our needs. I was immediately impressed by how helpful they were even when they thought we wouldn’t and up as clients. I could tell even the office manager truly cared about us and offered to pass our info along to Michael to see if he could help in any way. Instead, they ended up working out a way to serve our family’s unique needs. I am so impressed with everyone I’ve encountered there. Our BCBA, Kelsi, is the first ABA provider who has written compassionate and developmentally appropriate goals, while also taking our family culture and limitations into account. I would go as far as to say I am anti-ABA in general, but NYETS is one of very few ABA centers in the metro that is doing phenomenal work. I don’t even usually recommend places for therapy, doctors, etc because it’s so case-specific, but I can say I’d recommend them hands down. I could go on forever, but meeting this team who truly are client-centered and love our kids truly restored my sense of hope for the future of my family.
